Dell, a global leader in cutting-edge computers and digital technology, recently arranged an exciting technology event in Singapore, to showcase its wide range of innovations in computers and multi-media products for creating Smart-Homes for modern families. Notable Blogging enthusiasts, Techies and media buffs from numerous countries gathered in Singapore to participate.
The Asia-Pacific Regional Director at Dell Consumer Marketing, Ms. Dolly Chin, explained to the media how Dell has consistently worked over several years to introduce a number of new consumer electronics. As a result, Dell has successfully created more than 30 products within a short period of 2 years, which are now available in 60,000 stores worldwide. Dell had invited one Pakistani blogger to the event with a media representative to cover the same. The Marketing Head for CSMB at Dell Pakistan, Nubla Iftikhar was also present at the event.
After the media presentation, participants were taken up to a penthouse apartment, which was equipped with the latest Dell products, which could be tried out by the visitors, catering to the needs of various customer segments within a family.
Each room depicted a distinct lifestyle. For Example, the living room depicted an intelligent home or as Dell termed it; the smart living room with a TV capable of streaming movies directly from the Dell XPS.
The new Dell Alienware desktop was one of the products showcased. It is a mainstream gaming desktop with Extreme Performance, Core i3/5/7 processors, Dual SLI graphics and CPU liquid cooling. For a similar demographic with different needs, the Dell Inspiron 15R was also showcased. The Dell AIO, a product aimed at designers and other work-from-home routine work needs for its full Windows 7 compatibility and touch-screen features, was also displayed.
Other Dell products for the visitors to try out included the Dell Inspiron-R series, Dell XPS Series and AlienwareM11x. Desktops displayed included Alienware Aurora ALX Desktop and Dell Inspiron All-In-One, along with Dell Streak and the recently introduced, Dell Venue Pro, a landmark product with great reviews so far due to its Windows Phone 7 compatibility, choice between a touch-screen keyboard or a slide keyboard and streamlined graphics.
