PTCL in hot water again – Employees on strike

The PTCL had refused to increase the salaries of its employees as announced by the Federal Government in Budget 2010-11 while the employees had decided the agitations and started protest.

Reporterpk reliably learnt that the staff of the PTCL had stated one hour token strike till August 14 and if their demand of 50 per cent increase in salaries would bot be accepted by the management of the Pakistan telecommunication Ltd then it would be day long. They also warned the management of the company to stop the work and jammed the whole

system.

 

 

 

 

The PTCL network system had already badly affected by the ongoing rain spell across the country and all services provided to the costumers had badly hit. if the staff would go on strike then the total system would be collapsed. 
 
 

 

 

sources in the PTCL said that the top management viewed that the PTCL was no the private company so it had its on rule and regulations. They said that the management had not interested to increase the salaries of its employees as announced by the federal government. Rather the company management has been considering to take action against the staff who are participating in the strike.

In this regard a protest was also staged by the company staff at various telephone exchanges as well on Saturday which has been continued in across Pakistan.
