T-Mobile USA has started selling a HTC supplied Android smartphone – the T-Mobile G2 – which supports HSPA+ download speeds.

Huawei is reported by TMC.net to have announced the deployment of the world’s largest HLR deployment in Pakistan. This does however seem to be a near identical statement to one issued by the company in 2008.

Italy’s Telecom Italia has been fined EUR 100,000 by the competition authority after it found that recent adverts incorrectly suggested that customers could receive free phone calls.

Armenia’s VivaCell-MTS has launched a tariff offering unlimited wireless Internet for AMD 5000 per month. The maximum speed of data transfer in the framework of the tariff plan is 128 Kbps.

Belarus mobile networks, Life and Velcom have started interconnection for the swapping of MMS between subscribers on the two networks.
