Mobilink Foundation reaches out to flood victims in Sindh

The Mobilink Foundation and Mobilink Torchbearers reached out to flood victims in the Mirpurkhas region of Sindh distributing food rations and water for over 3,500 people.

The activity was part of Mobilink Foundation’s ongoing campaign to distribute relief amongst flood victims, for which Mobilink has partnered with the Pakistan Navy. Mirpurkhas is one of the worst hit areas and the Mobilink Foundation mobilized a team of employee volunteers from Karachi and Hyderabad, who distributed worth of food supply and 4,500 liters of water to help over 3,500 flood victims in the area. In addition to the relief goods, Mobilink Torchbearers also spent time at the Pakistan Army Relief Camp at Mirpurkhas with the children and sharing the burden of the families who were taking shelter at the camp.

Omar Manzur, Director Public Relations & CSR, Mobilink highlighted, “At Mobilink, we are committed towards making every effort necessary to reach out to the flood affected people of Pakistan, and this activity is part of a much larger initiative to provide relief to those affected by the floods in Sindh.”

In addition to mobilizing direct relief, Mobilink has also enabled its subscribers to donate towards Mobilink’s Flood Relief Fund by sending a blank SMS to 616, with each SMS contributing Rs 10 plus tax for the flood relief drive.
